Due to the nature of natural wood, a deep clean will mainly remove residue, grease or oils on the surface making it ready for a polish depending on the clients' requirements. This could lead directly to a polish or further restoration may be needed depending on the damage to the wood, which could bring us to other procedures.

If the floor has deep scratches then a full restoration would be required. We use different appropriate procedures depending on the extent of the damage this will require specialist machines to remove scratches or damage to prepare for polishing. 

For light scratches or dull surfaces, we can polish using specialised solutions and abrasive pads to bring the floor back to life for that 'as new' finish. 

We are able to apply oil or varnish to your wood floor which will make regular maintenance easier as it will improve the resistance to staining and wear marks.

Oil would need more regular maintenance than varnishing but does tend to keep the wood looking more natural. 

However, with the new age of varnishes, you can now get matte finishes on varnish that still look extremely natural and give you a higher level of protection for your floor than oil.
